Search engines are not the same as they were 5 years ago, just like the internet is not the same as it was 5 years ago. Things have changed, technology has evolved and now we are heading to a new, much more precise era. Some of us consider that an improvement, a better way to find the results you need. Others believe that it was better the way it used to be before. Who is right, we don’t know, but it’s not our point to judge that. All we want to do is to make some assumptions when it comes to the future of the searching process.
From my point of view, from now on the process of searching will become too tied up to the social experience that we have. I have noticed that Google is now offering preferential results for each and every country and each and every guy who knows how to use the internet and has a Google account. The country part I find right. I would never try to find Italian results if, for instance, I would be looking for pasta recipes. With the preferential search for each and every of us it’s not exactly like that. I think the old way was the better way.
But now, why won’t we take a look at the future? How can we know what will come up and how can we be sure that it will be better? It’s simple, we can’t, but some guys decided to make a video and to try and show us their opinion regarding the subject. Why won’t you check it out yourself in order to see what’s waiting for us in the second half of 2013?
